The One Where They All Turn Ten


After roughly 9 hours of /played, I reached level 10. I guess I won't set any new records for power leveling... Level 10 gives access to the Call of Fire quests (Call of Earth was level 5) and unlocks talent points. So, finally, I am able to "go elemental" by setting the first talent point into Concussion and have access to two of the four totem types.

Already at level 5, I got access to professions. Right now, there are 10 professions available, so it's possible to cover them all with 5 shaman as each can learn 2 professions at once. There are 3 gathering professions: Mining, Skinning and Herbalism. Some would find it advantageous to learn 2 gathering professions with the main char, so that switching windows it not necessary. However, it's quite easy to setup a macro for Skinning, leaving only Mining and Herbalism for manual gathering. The problem now is that it's not possible to search for both herbs and ore on the minimap, only one at a time. So, I decided to go with the "standard" profession combinations: Mining/Engineering, Skinning/Leatherworking, Herbalism/Alchemy, Enchanting/Tailoring and the - not so standard - Blacksmithing/Jewelcrafting.
